Easy to follow and thorough step by step tutorials do it yourself (DIY) videos to help you with your broken lawn and garden equipment including snowblowers and zero turn mowers.

I do my best to teach you how to easily diagnose problems the fastest, quickest and most efficient way with real repairs beyond just replacing a spark plug. These tips are for both the homeowner and shop owner.

Whether it be a handheld, two stroke, two cycle engine like a chainsaw, weed eater, weed wacker, string trimmer, grass trimmer, line trimmer, hedge trimmer, strimmer, brush cutter, leaf blower, or four stroke, four cycle units like a lawnmower, wood splitter, lawn tractor, zero turn mower, snowblower, pressure washer, generator or a ride on mower that needs parts installed or replaced, I’m your go-to guy.

My favorite brands of spark plugs are NGK and Champion and are the ones I recommend.

I’ve been a small engine mechanic for many decades and also run my own repair shop so my videos are loaded with tips and tricks that I have learned and want to share with you. You will also find many tool and product reviews from top brands on my channel as well.

  1. I watched your swap video with this engine. I was curious why you used a 19hp engine instead of the 21hp that was on the JD120.

  2. Wow, an engine swap on a small engine that isn’t being swapped to a Harbor Freight Predator… (Does princess auto have their own Honda clones?)

  3. I got one for a wacker packer. 3 pieces broke/bent- rewind starter, muffler and shroud. box looked fine. took almost 120 days to get all the parts sent for replacement

  4. Nice! However if that was my tractor, I’d want a nice used Kohler Command 17 horsepower to re-power and re-wire it.

  5. Done several of these this year and last .The faulty 21 & 22 HP engines they come with seem to grenade like clockwork between 60- 120 hrs.
Replaced them all with the single cylinder 19 hp Briggs EX Professional Series .
$800 bucks Canadian from Briggs, 2hours labour Away you go a day later back up & running.

  6. I personally would have went with a Chonda from Princesss Auto. Those Briggs singles are junk and same for those box store John Deeres.

  7. What a waste of money.
The ”D” series Lawn Tractors means disposable.
Of course, no oil will kill any machine, but D series John Deeres are their bottom of barrel low end machine and not worth the pricetag if a major repair is needed.

  8. I have had to do that exact swap with the same engine and the same model John Deere. Same issue, the customer neglected to check the oil and it blew up the exact same way. It was very expensive for him.
